Un corazón Tico.

There are moments where you can tell your heart is what is keeping you alive.
You know that you need those other parts of you.
But there is nothing like your heart buried in your chest.
That strong emotion overcomes you.
Terror, nervousness, excitement, jealousy.
Your heart pounds.
Pounds, pounds, pounds.
The sound rings’n your ears and
you can feel that blood pumping in and out.
In and out.
I can feel that life, running through me and it is so strong that my body can do nothing to ignore it.
It is my core and without it my body would be nothing.
People always wonder: mind over heart? Or heart over mind?
Your heart will always win.
Without your heart there would be no mind.
